I joined the Column to take your place for a short period of time. I just wanted to c...George....It's Mike Norman. I just wanted to correct you on the "original" drummer comment. I was the original drummer for the Torquetts AND the 6th Column. Matter of fact, we were rehearsing at Fred's house one night when we came up with the name change. The originals were: Fred, Jim Cass (Lead Guitar), Chuck Davis (Bass) and myself.<br />Because I was married with a kid, I couldn't travel with the guys to Chicago and that's when other people came into the band. I re-joined in '69 when the Column came home and broke up. Fred & I picked up Bob Wilson, Les Lockhart and Marc Francis and invaded the Knight's Club at the Rodeway and stayed for 11 yrs.<br />Regards, MikeMike Normannoreply@blogger.com
