In tree: Woody Thompson (Drummer)
Left to right: Donna Pence, Terry Diers, Bart Barbour, Lee Allen
Just before I left Santa Fe, Woody Thompson, the drummer from
Heartswing and I were reminiscing about the Acid Rock of our
youth, and we decide to put together a fake acid rock group and
name it the Psychotic Penguins. We started off just doing a benefit
for the local Battered Woman's Shelter, but people liked the group
so much, we got some regular gigs, but stopped when it wasn't just
fun anymore (about three months). Curious facts: Bart Barbour
really got into anthropology and then actually became a mountain
man, skinning his own animals and living in the wild. His wife left
him and I don't know where he plugged his amp in. Woody Thompson
also played reggae in the band "Juice" in Santa Fe. Sadly he took his
own life some years ago. I miss him as he was a sweetie.

Hey Donna: I am still alive. I am a history professor at Boise State University, and I just published my fifth book, a biography of Jedediah Smith, a mountain man/explorer. I still play steel, dobro, guitar, and now play a lot of blues harp. Hope you get this, and it was definitely fun to see the photos!!
Bart Barbour
Just saw this Bart, like years later! How are you?
