This was an early recording done by Patty
Tiscareno about El Paso and on the the flip
side she sings about Juarez. El Paso musician,
Sam Stephenson, who has contributed many times
to my site, recently purchased this 45 recording
off of E-bay. The guy he purchased it from lives
in Germany. Thanks, Sam, for a great find!

Patty reflects by e-mail to Rick Kern
"WOW! I have one copy of this record in my
possession; I recently gave the other one I had
to the Leona Ford Washington Family when
she passed away this year. I believe I recorded
it when I was a senior in High School which
would have been 1971. I don't remember any
of the musicians, but I do recall the recording
studio was located on Missouri street at the
downtown exit. (It still exists, I think, as a auto
repair place!) It was called Slaughter House and
was run by the engineer, whose last name I believe,
was Slaughter. Thanks for the little thrill! Send
my congrats to your talented daughter!"
