Curtis Conroy and his buddy Tony Joe White
are both in Nashville, TN. You might remember
Tony's hits "Polk Salad Annie" and "Rainy Night
In Georgia" I had a great phone call with Curt
yesterday. We shared some great stories with
each other and he has really taken an interest
in this site. I shared with him the reason why
I chose to do a site like this - "nobody has ever
done it and it needs to be done" "When I hear
various musicians telling me that they were able
to reconnect with each other after many years
gone by" this makes it all worthwhile! Curt and
many of you have recognized the fact that I don't
get paid for this. I do this on my own time, probably
somewhere around 300 hours at this point. I just
want to acknowledge the fact that Curt has really
been inspirationally supportive and has contributed
some great items to the site (and if that was not enough)
surprised me two days ago with a monetary donation
for the cause. Curt, I really appreciate your generosity.
I do like money but I want each of you to know that money
has never been the motivating factor in doing a site like this,
and never will be. That being said, I will continue to grow
this "Monster" to as large as it wants to become....6/9/08
